What is the subject and predicate?
Students :Good morning sir,
Teacher :Good morning students. Today we will learn the grammar part the subject and the predicate. As we know if we divide sentence into two parts, one is the subject and other is the predicate.Subject is the part of sentence about which something is said. The Predicate is that part of the sentence which tells something about the subject.
For Example: I am going. Here “I” is subject and “am going” is predicate.
Pinki Did you get it?
Pinki :Yes sir, I got it.
Teacher :Bella what about you? Bella I am asking to you!
Bella :yes..yes..yes sir,
Teacher :Okay, tell me then what is the subject?
Bella :The Subject is the part of sentence about which something is said.
Teacher :Pinki, what is the predicate?
Pinki :The Predicate is that part of the sentence which tells something about the subject.
Teacher : Pinki, I am eating. What is the subject in this sentence?
Pinki :In this sentence “I am eating“. “I” is the subject.
Teacher : Bella, what is the predicate?
Bella :In this sentence “I am eating“. “an eating” is the predicate.
Teacher :Very good, you are very right! Thank you students see you tomorrow!
